The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday afternoon with shares of Apple Inc. and Walgreens Boots seeing positive growth for the index. The Dow DJIA, +1.07% was most recently trading 262 points higher (0.9%), as shares of Apple Inc. AAPL, +6.66% and Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.69% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Apple Inc.’s shares have gained $5.98, or 5.1%, while those of Walgreens Boots are up $1.20 (3.3%), combining for an approximately 47-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Microsoft MSFT, +3.46%, Goldman Sachs GS, +2.94%, and Caterpillar CAT, +2.13%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
