HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — High temps today will be near 100 degrees in Houston, with feels-like temps between 108 and 114 degrees. A heat advisory has been issued through 9pm for all counties in our viewing area, and that advisory will likely be extended through Sunday.

Rain chances will be few and far between this weekend, but a few sea-breeze showers will pop this afternoon (20%), with a few more storms Sunday (30%). Any storms could bring a brief but heavy downpour and a quick cool down, but it would be short lived.

Laura’s remnant low continues to move toward the Atlantic seaboard this weekend, and there are no imminent tropical systems threatening the Gulf Coast.
