Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has stepped on the toes of Twitter users following a supposed insensitive comment as regards the ongoing #EndSARs protest.

The singer weighed in on the protest going on in the country against police brutality and harassment of Nigerian youths.

In a tweet, the DMW record label boss showed interest in the protest by denoting support for his fans. He wrote, “My people need me …. #EndSarsNow.”

This, however, got on the nerves of one of his followers who misconceived the singers’ tweet as an unnecessary attachment of self-important.

In response to Davido, the angry user wrote, “Don’t sound like we can’t do it without you or you’re special please. What do you mean by PY PEOPLE NEED ME?

“Who are you? Shebi other celebrities are nothing na only you matter?” He wrote.
